Developing Comprehensive High-Value University Curriculum Modules for the Social Protection Program
Waayeel Consulting collaborated with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of Somalia and UNICEF to develop a comprehensive university curriculum module for the Social Protection Program (Transform Program) tailored for Somalia. The project involved the following key activities:
Development of the curriculum for the Social Protection module to be integrated into the wider Social Work curriculum, in consultation with relevant stakeholders. This process utilized TRANSFORM Training Materials to ensure alignment with international best practices and standards.
Presentation of the revised curriculum to participating universities in Somalia to seek endorsement for the inclusion of the social protection module as part of a Professional Degree course.
This initiative aimed to equip future social work professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively implement social protection programs in Somalia, thereby contributing to the country's social development and welfare.
